PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Rick holds tertiary qualifications in both clinical health and health services management. He was the first health executive in Australia to have been awarded a doctorate in health services management from an Australian university. Rick has 32 years experience in the healthcare industry. He has managed large and small public, private and not-for-profit healthcare provider organisations in Australia and overseas. Rick's most recent consultancy responsibilities have included the development of the health services plan for the new $1.5 billion Gold Coast University Hospital, the development of the clinical change management plan for the $967 million redevelopment of Royal North Shore Hospital and various other large-scale projects including the Human Resources Framework for Western Sydney Area Health Service comprising some 9,870 full-time employees.
